Build the Circular Future: Join the TAARP Workshop on Ultra-Lightweight and Reversible Architecture, 4 ECTS - DEADLINE 27.02.2026
Have you ever wondered how architecture can adapt to an increasingly fluid and transient lifestyle? The TAARP (Tempor-Active Architecture & Reversibility Principles) course offers a revolutionary perspective on ultra-lightweight structures—systems often overlooked in traditional textbooks but essential for the ecological transition.
Led by Politecnico di Milano alongside UPV Universitat Politècnica de València and ETH Zurich, this program explores Design for Disassembly principles using the TemporActive pavilion as a Living Lab. This is not just theory: students will catalogue components, study deconstruction sequences, and design the "third life" of a real modular structure.
For who?
Bachelor and Master of Science students from all disciplines across ENHANCE partner universities.
What you will learn:
· Innovative Methodologies: Hands-on use of parametric software (Rhino, Grasshopper) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA);
· Learning-by-doing: Practical workshops on materials at the TextilesHUB (membranes, natural/synthetic fibers, recycled textiles);
· Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work in international teams to solve complex problems regarding material efficiency and structural behavior.
The course is delivered in a hybrid mode (4 ECTS), making it accessible to remote participants through dedicated digital simulations and projects focused on re-locating the modular structure across different University Campuses.
