Thanks to funding from the NAWA program "Solidarity with Ukraine - European Universities," four students from Ukraine – from Lviv Polytechnic and Kyiv Polytechnic – participated in the Winter School. A total of 25 students from 10 ENHANCE universities participated in the on-site part.

The inauguration was attended by Prof. Robert Nowak and Piotr Pałka, PhD from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, Anna Smulska and Piotr Szczepański from the International Cooperation Center, and remotely by Prof. Andrea Matta from the Polytechnic University of Milan.

On Tuesday our students had a trip to the CENAGIS laboratories in Jozefoslaw (Centre for Geospatial and Satellite Analyses). Students were introduced to the calibration labs of surveying equipment and the augmented reality lab and experienced a demonstration of Martian drone operation in surveying applications. In addition, in Jozefosław, Winter School participants from WUT - Julia Stypułkowska and Karol Orzechowski - gave, in turn, a presentation on the ‘Sunlight Modelling App’ and a presentation on field data processing.

The ENHANCE "Winter School in Data Literacy" is one of the modules of the microprogram "Certificate in Data Literacy"  The Winter School took place online from 18th to 22nd November 2024 + online from 25th to 29th November 2024 + on-site at Warsaw University of Technology from 2nd to 6th December 2024 + online from 9th to 13th December 2024.

The Winter School ended with the presentation of the student group projects and the production of final reports by each of the five teams.
