The Summary of the “New Technologies in Education” Webinar and Virtual Workshop
On 14 the November 2025, a two-hour online event was held by Warsaw University of Technology in co-operation with Universitat Politècnica de València and Tu Berlin as part of the ENHANCE Task Force Ukraine initiative.
The webinar and virtual workshop brought together students, academic teachers, and administrative staff from ENHANCE universities and partner institutions in Ukraine — a total of 65 participants. The meeting focused on the role of new technologies and digital tools in higher education, cross-university collaboration, and supporting educational transformation processes.
Panel Session
In the first part of the event, experts from Poland, Ukraine, and Spain presented modern technological solutions, along with examples of their practical applications in education. The programme included:
- The opening address by Katarzyna Zambrzycka-Papuda, PhD (WUT) and Dorota Chromińska, MA (WUT), the event co-organisers, highlighted the importance of international cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the field of educational digitalisation.
- The presentation by Jacek Pradela, MA ( Silesian University of Technology), on cross-university collaboration in the areas of cultural values, smart cities, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
- The introduction to the concept of Digital Twin by Krzysztof Ejsmont, PhD (WUT), showcasing the potential of “digital twins” in teaching and engineering.
- The short overview by Prof. Boris Kosoy (Odessa National University of Technology) on digital transformation in Ukrainian higher education, including challenges and effective “teaching without borders” practices.
- The analysis of a Spanish-Ukrainian virtual laboratory project presented by Oksana Polyakova Nesterenko, PhD (UPV).
- The presentation of Science Quest, a new VR-based lesson plan developed by Anna Sibilska-Mroziewicz, PhD (WUT).
Practical Workshop
The second part of the event had an interactive character. The participants took part in workshops led by Anna Sibilska-Mroziewicz, PhD, during which they worked in Meta Horizon Worlds Editor. They together created a prototype of the “ENHANCE virtual world,” featuring university symbols, cultural elements, innovative ideas, and memories from international collaboration.
The webinar and workshops demonstrated the rapid development of digital tools supporting education and the essential role of cross-border cooperation in shaping modern educational models. The event served as a platform for exchanging ideas, integrating academic communities, and jointly exploring innovative future solutions.
We would like to thank Katarzyna Zambrzycka-Papuda and Dorota Chromińska for coordinating the webinar and virtual workshops.
